LAY OLYMPIC FUND

APPEAL REALISES NEARLY £2OO. GOOD RESPONSE BY DISTRICT. The trustees of * the Lay-Olympic Fund report that the response, by the people of the town and district lias been particularly gratifying, the sum of £lß2s 4d 9d having been received to date. The returns of some of the collectors are still outstanding, and it is expected that when these are handed to the trustees at the. Athletic and Football Clubs’ combined farewell to Mr. Stan. Lay to-night the total will be approximately £2OO. _ Mr. Lay leaves for Wellington tomorrow, and reports to- the Olympic Association organiser on Thursday morning.
