810 PAYMENTS.
WAIKATO DAIRY PRODUCE. .AHEAD OE LAST SEASON. [by telegraph—press association.] HAMILTON, April 21. Despite, the worst drought for 20 years, paymente to Waikato dairy farmers for the season are far in excess of those of last season. The amounts distributed by thp 11 leading companies show the total® to March 31 ns follow: — This reason £3,754,569 Last season £3,174,128 A heavy spring yield compensated^for the drop during thp drought. ’Since the breaking of the drought the pastures have recovered splendidly though the March yield of butter-fat was below that of the corresponding month, of last ypar. The higher rates per pound give a better total in the financial returns.
