When, during the fire, which raged in another portion of the building on Sunday evening, the contents of E. I\ fort lock and Co.’s garage were removed by the crowd, a trade sign was noticed in the show window bearing the invitation: ‘‘Do come in. We’re glad to have you look around. The building cleared, a wag reversed the notice board, and much amusement was caused by the appearance of the appropriate acknowledgment: “Thank you. We’re glad you came.”
