Tuo “Sydney Morning Herald,” commenting on Limerick’s win, says:—‘ln the most- thrilling race of the meeting,Limerick had to reveal the wonderful quality with which he was endowed to enabe him to win. lit was a wonderful race, (the crowd became hysterical, even reserved old gentlemen throwing up their top hats in the air in the heat of the moment. Limerick got his tongue over the bit early, which, made the task more difficult, - and it was only in the last few strides that- he was- able to forge ahead and win.” The “Telegraph” says:—“Limerick set the seal to his. fame by registering his eighth .successive win. He demonstrated that he is at home in all sorts of weather, over all distances, and that it matters not to him if the race is a handicap or weight-for-age event-. His latest performance was his greatest.” THE KING’S CONGRATULATIONS. Received 10.4-5 a.m. to-day. SYDNEY. April 16.
