The Athletic Challenge Shield, points awarded' for championship events only (first place two points, second one mint), was iron by Victoria, with 134 points; Canterbury, with 111 points, was second; Otago, with 11 points, third: and Auckland, with .1 points, fourth.
In the basketball com petition in the first round Auckland defeated Victoria C011ege.229; and Otago defeated Canterbury, 21 —5. Tn the final Auckland defeated Ota.go. 25—12.
