DEFENDING HIS RIGHTS. “HEIR” STANDS HIS GROUND. LONDON, April 6. Wielding a huge crowbar, Mr. William Allery, who _ claims that he is heir to the Benedict John Angell Estates in South London, worth £60.000,000, and who has installed himself in a building to, collect the rents, threatened to resist invasion. He harangued a large crowd, including several men who had come to protest Allery’s claim on the ground that they, not' he, were the rightful heirs. Workmen who had been ordered to demolish the house, which had, been condemned owing to its dilapidated state decided to await developments when they saw the crowbar.
