FLOODS IN ONTARIO
TOWNS INUNDATED.
HEAVY DAMAGE DONE. FOUR LIVES LOST. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Received 9.50 a.m. to-day. OTTAWA, April 9. A message from Quebec- stated that floods took four lives during Easter in that province. Two men were swept away with rig from a bridge and' two were- lost when an engine- crashed through a weakened trestle on a bridge. Many parts of Ontario report heavy flood damage. Bridges and dams have been swept away, villages and towns inundated, and homes abandoned.
