Piastoon made the early running from Spearer and Pilliewinkie, while Limerick was last. Approaching the straight Limerick ran to the front and thereafter was untroubled, winning by three lengths. Time, 2.50. SIRES’ PRODUCE STAKES. Mollison, S.lO 1 Coercion, 8.10 - Eamulus, S.lO 3 Coercion was the first to break the line irom Mollison and Remora. At the three furlongs Coercion led by three lengths from Mollison and Hamulus. Mollison took charge on entering the straight and won comfortably by four lengths. Time, 1.32. DUN CASTER HANOI CAP. Approaching the straight Simeon’s Fort commenced a forward move, and at the distance had charge from Don Moon and Aorangi, and maintained the lead to the judge to win by three lengths, with two lengths* between second and third. Along the back Trivalve increased its lead to two lengths, with Jocelyn second and Winalot third. Approaching the straight Jocelyn as sumed command, but at the distance Winalot challenged and in a desperate struggle gained the verdict by ball a length. Time, 3.14*. HIGH-WEIGHT HANDICAP. Sion, 9.5 J, Royal Sun, 9.12 2 Quince, 8.3 P Twenty-two started, including Zaragoza and Boss Poppy.
