At the Police Court, William Jboster. .or being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car at Palmerston, was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment. On the day the offence was committed the accused was convicted on a similar charge. Charles Dylirterg was charged with obtaining £ls from Edward Thomas Longstnn, at Wellington, by means of false pretences. He was admitted to twelve months’ probation and ordered to make restitution within seven days. An ortTe'r for the suppression of t’ne ■lame was refused.
