NEW ZEALAND BUTTER.
NO PRESERVATIVE NEEDED. CAN STAND ANY TEST. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received 12.50 p.m. to-dav. LONDON, March. 29. Speaking at the dinner of the Institute of Hygiene in his honour, Sir James Parr denied that the recent food preservative regulations were prejudicial to New Zealand butter, which needed no preservative, as it would keep as long as frozen, whether in cold storage or otherwise. It could stand any test. Its very virtues led to taking liberties with it, including storage and exposure for sale under poor conditions. —A.P.A. and “Sun.”
