FOUND HANGING IN A COWSHED

I BY TELEGRAPH— PRESS' ASSOCIATION J MARTQN, March 26. A middle-aged mart nariied Hetrick, hailing from Wellington, was found Hanging in . a cowbail on Mr. A; Flower's property at.. Hunter ville on ouliday. Hetrick called at Flower’s on Thursday last andi-said lie had been asked to call there by a sister of Mr. Flower. He seemed worried and depressed, but gave no indication of any intention to commit suicide. When Mr Flower went out yesterday after midday to ask Hetrick to go for a walk, he found him dead, hanging os stated. No particulars were available as to the relatives of the deceased.: SERIOUS SHOOTING ACCIDENT. CHRISTCHURCH, March 26. While on a shooting expedition in the, mountainous country beyond the Lees Valley with a companion named' Colin Bassett, Andrew Neill Henderson, aged 20, met with a serious shooting accident at 8 o’clock this morning. He left his parents’ home at Oxford on Friday. This morning, while they were striking camp and Bassett was extinguishing the fire, he heard a shot, and on going out found Henderson shot in. the right shoulder, the rifle having been fired while he was picking it up. Bassett knew something of first aid, and he was able to leave his wounded companion fairly comfortable before going for assistance. IF took four hours to reach a settler’s homestead. A party, including a. doctor, left Oxbrd this afternoon for the scene of the accident, which they expected to reach at 9 p.m. They will bring the wounded man out to-morrow morning. BUSH WORKER ACCIDENTALLY KILLED. TAUMARUNUI, March 27. At an inquest held a-t Mangakara, near Ohara, concerning the death of Robert Peter Humphrey, aged 19, who was killed by a tree he was- chopping, falling on him, the jury returned a verdict of accidental death. - .
