THE COST TO DATE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION -COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Mareh 22. The Admiralty’s total expenditure co date on the Signapore Base amounted to £508,000, stated the Un-der-Secretary of State for the Admiralty, Lieut-001. C. M. Head lam, in the debate on the Navy Estimates in the House of Commons to-day. This- year they would spend £228.000, plus £3000,000 for the floating do k. Tbwards this expenditure £378,090 had been received from New Zealand, Hong Kong and the Fedt.- ted Malay States.
