HEAVY ELEVATOR FALLS. THIRTEEN PEOPLE KILLED. DISASTER- DURING A GALE. Received 2.-5 p.m. to-day. BERLIN, March 21. A recently constructed elevator weighing seven hundred tons, used to raise waggons, collapsed in a. gale at Merseburg. It killed thirteen persons and injured five. —“Sydney Sun” cable.
