SABBATH OBSERVANCE.

(To the Editor). Sir, —Reading in last Friday’s “Star” some remarks of a: clergyman on the observance of Sunday, it hurt me that he should say that the peaceful, restful day our Lord in His great mercy ha.s given, us is a. dull or gloomy day. To those aa’lio love God, His day is the most beautiful day in all the Aveek to them. In these clays of rush and 'excitement' it is a. God-sent blessing, if you: can get peace. It would be a very sad thing if the clergy thought they had to keen us amused and happy on Sunday to try and take away our part in keeping our souls healthy- I hope people Avili leave, us our peaceful, restin', Sunday to do a.s God has asked l ue to do Avith jov and happiness.—l am etc. M.F.D.
