LONDON WOOL SALES.

PRICES REACH HIGHER LEVEL,

KEEN GENERAL DEMAND

BY CABLE— PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.

Received 11.30 a.m. to-day. LONDON, March 19. At the wool sales, 10,274 bales were sold, of which 6295 were Australian and 2419 New Zealand. There was an excellent offering of merinos, but limited supplies of greasy crossbreds. There was the keenest general competition and prices were on the highest level of the series. Best New Zealand prices were Ngatapa, 25d, Bradford prices were exceedingly firm, and very little business was done.
