PERSONAL ITEMS.
Miss Jean Donnelly, of Eltham, left by the mail train yesterday morning for Hamilton, where she will enter the Hamilton Hospital as a nurse.
Mrs C. J. Rowe and Miss Edna Rowe who have been attending the Greymouth jubilee celebrations, returned to Hawera yesterday. . Mr and (Mrs- H. Kendall left Hawera this morning for New Plymouth en route to Auckland, where they will spend a fortnight’s holiday. At last night’s -meeting of the South Taranaki Automobile Assn., Messrs W. O ’Callaghan and L. 0. Hooker were appointed delegates to represent the association at the New Zealand Association’s conference at Wellington on 23rd March.
Messrs. W. A. Chote, B. O. Johnston and D. Robertson, who have been on a business visit to Hawera in connection with the Vacuum Products Company, returned to Wellington by the mail train this morning. A message from Atlantic City, New Jersey, received at New York, states that Mr. R-odman Wanamaker, of New York and Philadelphia, a merchant, and one of the earliest supporters of aviation, died on March 9.
