WANGANUI SALE. Messrs. Freeman R. Jackson report a heavy yarding of sheep, a moderate entry of cattle, and a light entr,\ ol Mgs at Wednesday’s Wanganui stocksale. Notwithstanding a heavy yarding ot between 12,000 and 13,000 sheep there were buyers for all classes, and vendors have everv reason to be well pleased with the result. Compared with last week, values were on par in most instances, with a rise in store wethers and forward rape lambs. Young ewes also showed a rise, and realised in several instances prices well above vendors’ reserves.
The entry all over was representative of all" classes of sheep, for the most part in very fair condition, with very strong competition on good rape lambs and good young ewes and wethers, onrticularly early shorn, wellvroolled sheep. There was an excellent sale, and with the exception of a line of wethers a total clearance of practically all under the hammer took place.
