The Air Ministry’s and the world’s biggest experiment, an all metal monoplane, was successfully tested at Martlesham. It weighs nearly twenty tons, lias a wing span of 150 feet, three engines aggregating 2100 hoise-power, and seven and a half feet landing wheels. Twenty passengers can be carried. The design is an adaption of the German Doctor Rohrbach’s ideas.
