WAIKATO MEETING. [lit TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.j HAMILTON, March 3. The- Waikato Trotting Club’s meeting was held to-day in fine weather. There was a large attendance. The iotalisator handled £25,867, a decrease of £2388 -10 son the figures for the December meeting. Results: Improvers’ Handicap, two miles. —1 Etta Cole, liihit, 1; 4 Jewel Wave, 60yds bhd, 2; 11 Carwood, 3. Won by three lengths, with a head between second and third. Roma Bingen was fourth. Times,-5.7 3-5, 5-3 1-5, 5.8 1-5. Progressive Handicap, first division, one mile and a half.—3 Medusa, limit, 1; 2 Golden Grattan, limit, 2; 11 Money, 3. Won by a length and a quarter, with 10 lengths between second and third. ITolioro was fourth. Times, 3.33 3-5, 3.34, 3.38 3-5. i Progressive Handicap, second _ division, one mile and a 'half.—4 Signor, limit, 1; 9 Coal Light, 36yds bhd, 2; 10 Manna, 3. Won by two lengths, with a similar distance between second and third. Times. 3.37 3-5, 3.35 1-5, 3.37 1-5. Waikato Trotting Cup, two miles. — 5 Lady Dunmore, limit, 1; 2 Loch Moigh* 2; 1 Native Prince, 3. When the last round was entered on. Native Prince was in charge from Gold Jacket, All Bell, Lord Nepean, Lady Dunmore, and Loch Moigh. \\ hen they turned for lioukj* alive Prince* and Loch Moigh were together in front of Lady Dunmore and, Gold Jacket. Lady Dunmore put in tv last run, ami soon had the measure of Native Prince, whose driver then slowed down, and Loch Moigh. finishing fast, got up in time to gain second place three lengths lie hind Lady Dunmore and a neck in front of Native Prince. Gold Jacket was fourth. The stewards fined Shaw £lO for careless driving. Times, 4.32 3-5, 4.31 1-5. 4.30 3-5. Raglan Handicap, two miles. —10 Grattan Thorpe, limit. 1 : 2 Explosion, limit, 2; 7 Dad’s Hope, limit, 3. Won by a head, with a length between second and third. Toll Chimes was fourth.
