PROMOTER OF EUCHRE PARTIES FINED. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, Feb. 27. William Thomas Rowlands was Charged at the Police Court this morning with keeping .a common gaming house. Accused was the prompter of euchre drives held at a tea rooms and the prosecution was the result of a visit of a detective in the capacity of a patron, on Saturday night. In entering a conviction against the defendant, the Magistrate said the matter was not one which called for a penalty.
