CUP EVENjTS. The Hawera Swimming Olub last night conducted a farther .series of races in the competitions promoted by the club. The results of the, cup events are given below. The next swim will be held on Monday, February 27, at 7.30 p.m. Senior Cup (100 yards).—M. Woods, 6secs... 1: C. Dowdle, 4secs., 2; A. Walker, osecs., 3. Time, 86secs. Won by a touch. Points are as follow: A. Walker and M. Woods Opts, A. Blair 3pts, C- Dowdle 2pts, J. Ogle 1. Three more races to he swum, 220, 300 and 440 yards. Junior Cup, 100 yards.—G. Meyrick, 4sec., 1; A. Dowdle, iscr., 2. Only starters. Time, 78secs. Won by 2vds. Points as under: G. Meyrick 8}; N. Hunter 24. A. Dowdle 4, A. Spragg and B. Ryan 1 each. Three more races to be swum, 50, 75 and 100 yards. Novice Cup 50 yards.—S. Carter, 3 secis., 1; F. Rodie, 4secs, 2; E. Lee, 4secs., 3. Time, 43secs. Points ns follow: J. Oliver 0. S. Carter 5, F. Rodie 4, E. Lee 2. Only one more race, 75 yards, to be swum.
