The attendance was good and the track was in good order after the recent rain The totalisator handled £23,076 10s. compared with £25,591 10s last 1 - year, a decrease of £2SIS. T. Metcalf was fined £5 for not fulfilling his engagement to ride Henna. Bryce, rider oi Dimmer in the Petre Hack Handicap. Was cautioned for slight interference in the straight.

Mandane assumed the lead three furlongs from home and led Joy Bird, Eden Hall, Yoma and Atareria into the straight, stalling oil Eden Hall’s challenge to win narrowly by a head, with Joy Bird half a, length away and Yoma three-quarters of a length away fourth.

The course was in good condition and there was a large attendance. The sum of £7662 was put through the machine, as compared with £BIB4 last year, a decrease of £522. The results are:
