MAU DEMONSTRATION.
UNIFORMED PARADE. GURR LIABLE TO ARREST. BY CABLE -I’&ESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGH'J APIA, Jan. 26. The latest development ol the Man is a boycott of storekeepers throughout Samoa. A hundred unifroined Mau men. carrying big -sticks, parade Apia- streets and prevent Samoans patronising Apia stores. The police- have warned the Mau that the action is illegal ami further developments are expected. The- failure of Gurr to leave Samoa within the 30 days lias rendered him liable to arrest. His parole was granted on the condition that he kept out of Apia, communicated with no, natives and left by the Tofua for New Zealand in February. Gurr announced that he was settling in American Samoa, but the American Governor has announced that Gurr will not be allowed to land there.
