Tli© police at Liverpool have detained a man and a woman in connection with the alleged theft of a car in London on January 21. Twenty detectives surrounded the hotel where tlrT suspects were Maying. The man, when confronted ,allegedly whipped out a. fully loaded five-chambered revolver, hut a detective struck the weapon out of his hand just as the trigger was pulled and the cartridge misfired. Developments are expected.
