BEACH FETE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The annual beach fete day. organised by the Seaside Society, took place on Wednesday in perfect weather., a very large crowd being present, including numerous visitors from outside towns Nearly everyone appeared to be. m bathing attire, and the “briny” was m great demand. An energetic committee headed by Mr. Baeyertz (president), and Mr. C. 0. Edmonds (secretary), worked hard to provide entertainment for all, especially the younger ones, and they were very successful. The -takings are not yet complete, but it is anticipated that a substantial sum will be derived. , , , . ~ V very successful dance, held in the pavilion in the evening, was also largely attended and completed a very pleasant day for all.
