OPUNAKE LIFE-SAVERS.

CARNIVAL TO-MORROW. A real Gala Day will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Lake, near Opunake, under the aegis of the Opunalcc Surf and Live-Saving Club. It should be an afternoon packed with interest and amusement for all who attend. The swimming sports will see the best of the swimmers in action from ail parts of Tarankai and in addition there will be an endless chain of attractions from the opening ceremony at three o’clock until the end of the programme. The Lake -s one of the beauty spots in that district and is ideal for .the purpose. The committee have put in a great deal of time and labour in the arrangements and they arc out to see. that everyone has an enjoyable time.
