HAWKE CUP ARRANGEMENTS (BY TEt'EGItAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 26. In connection with the Hawke Cap. series of matches, Waikato will play the holders, Wanganui, this week-end. The winners will play the next challenge against Marlborough on dates to “be arranged. Challenges are still in hand from South Hawke’s Bay, Manaw r atu and Hawke Is Bay.

MID-WEEK MATCH. The Manaia mid-week team beat Rivals (Hawera) on Wednesday by nine wickets and 10 runs, scoring 103 and 61 for one wicket to Rivals’ 69 and 85. • For the winners, Laurie 26 and 27 (not out), H. Hughes 20 and 19 (not out), and for Rivals, H. Barker 23, AVorrall 32 (not out) and 12, and W. Barker 19 were the leading scorers. Morgan (Manaia) took all 10 wickets in Rivals’ second innings.
