IMMIGRANTS ARRIVE.

ARAWA BRINGS 137. [by TELEGRAPH—press association.] AUCKLAND, Jan. 24. The Arawa, which arrived from London this morning, brought 137 immigrants, who are described as being a good type. A good proportion are Scottish and Welsh, and include 10 young women on engagement as teachers on three-year contracts, mostly at private -schools. Eight daughters of British seamen are going to Flock House for training, and 26 domestics have positions to go to.
