Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report: Our quota was 266(1 bales. We o(H:ncd the sale at 4 p.m. before a large and eager bench of buyers’, and as was anticipated the market was very firm at rates lately established at Wellington and Napier. Our catalogue was mostly made up of good to medium Bradford top-making wools, and as far as the sale has gone—considering quality and condition —prices for low and medium wools show, a rise of about- id per lb on last Wellington sale, with all other qualities at par. Buying was well spread. All sections of the trade was keenly interested. Bradford was well in the market for all top-making wools, with Germany keen buyers for similar wools. and also for carding sorts. France and Australia competed spiritedly for the best lambs, and prices for this class of wool were at the moment high. Growers generally must be well pleased with realisations made, and it- seems that prices now established may remain firm throughout the selling year. We sold practically our total offering at auction. Some of our principal realisations were: GLEXNFT. 12 ewes A 173 d. 12 ewes B 153-d. 4 crossbred 153-d, 4 first lambs 18'd; C’JW in a diamond. 8 crossbred, 163 d: ORATJTOHOA. 9 ewes, 15id: CGF. 10 wethers lod, 11 hoggets loid. 16 ewes lod. 4 lambs 1 7 Id'; FA AH RIVERSIDE. 5 ewes 15ld; RHP. 7 ewes loid; ,TB. 4 hocgets 153 d. 4 wethers 153 d; TABLE'/ LANDS, 10 crossbred ,I6d; TTM/TE MERE. 4 hoggets A IP'.d. 6 ewes l A '81(1. 6 ewes B 16'd. 6 wethers A I7rl: PL & CO.. 4 hales half bred 23d. 4 hales fine crossbred 223 d: C in » Block. 13 ewes loid. 8 wethers 10-'.d: r 'M'/NGI7TT T . 12 owes 153 d; SE/A. 1 7 Romnev owes 153 d. 10 Tlonmev weth‘•rs |s<l: L./S/STOCKLAND. 13 fine 16.L1; TEA. 1 crossbred 15-L1: ■ f K over A- S. 17 halfhred 20d. 14 fine eiv(sshred 1.84c1. 42 fine crossbred A A 17.L1. 27 medium -crossbred 16d. 8 fine crossbred 161(1. 14 crossbred 154 d. ‘>3 ' A nieces 133 d. 15 AA lambs 21 dj F. 54 A ewes 163 d. 21 B ewes loid: TU \ FTT T . 7 hoggets A 181 d. 12 wethers A 163 d. 6 ewes 163 d: PH/0. 4 hoggets 161(1. 11 ewes loid : AC/BRAFSTDR. 5 crossbred A 174 d. 5 erossbred R 154 d; RAT A NET / TO. 6 .halfhred hoggets 21 id : HAIB. 4 lambs 17-Id; P A- A\ . 0 ci-.-issbred 17.'d. 6 crossbred 16'■ d : SAM/F. 10 ewes 153 d: RB/W. 5 Bomnev ewes 16d: DT/AH 7 ornsisbred 163 d : JWTT /0. 10 ewes 153 d : TUP 1 crossbred A 181. 16 crossbred 1 (id ; MANGANTJI. 86 fine crossbred 161 d. 41 fine crossbred ewes 163 d, 20 bales coarse crossbred 15d. 15 hoggets 20-3 d. 7'first lambs 20!d; PP/O. 12 hoggets, 1 old. 13 ewes 163 d : GCC. 13 ewes loid ; 1 B \\ ineglass B, 43 ewes 15-4(1, 7 Lincoln 1-13 d: AVON, 5 ewes. 153 d; ALLANDALE. 15 ewes A 164(1. 1 Oewes B 15Jd ; LODGFi/JK. 12 ewes 15-J(1; HB in circle I owes A A 17',d. 12 ewes lo.’d, 7 lambs 184 d: OPEKE. 4 South clown crossbred hoggets 22d, 19 Romney hoggetfi 203 d ; UP A. 8 hoggets 17d. 29 wethers- 153 d: TJB. 4 crossbred A 16.p1; MILNES, 5 we? 153 d; Heart,/Eyebrow. 18 ewer Hid. 9 Romne-v ewer, 153 d. 5 Romney '••■’"c-ets. 173*3, 6 wethers 16d, 4 Romney hoggets A 193 d; JG'M/GS, 4 hoggets
