CYCLE RACING.
CHAMPIONS AT MASTER-TON. [BY TEI.EUKAVH-PRESS ASSOCIATION..! MASTER-TON, Jan. 23. A feature of the Mas ter ton Athletic Club’s annual sports to-day was the meeting of F. Grose, the triple title holder, and T. Oakley in the cycle events. Each won his heat in the mile Oakley in 2jnin. 14 2-ssec., and Grose n 2min 14see. In the final Grose fell half a lap from home and Oakley fell a hundred yards further on. Oaklev scored a brilliant victory in the one and a half miles invitation scratch race beating Grose by thirty yards in c min. 25 3-osec., and again in the t'wc miles wheel race the Masterton bo\ heat Grose by four lengths in 4min. 3E sec. Oakley also won the three miles for the Walker and Hall Cup. Grose did not start in this event.
