A lizard which is still alive after having received a charge of 12,000 volts of electricity through its body, was recently sent to the Melbourne Zoo by Mr G. A. Cashmore, a patrolman employed by the State Electricity Commission. Mr Clash more has informed the authorities at.the Melbourne Zoo that the lizard climbed on to a high transmission line near Mornington several days ago, and received a, shock of 12,500 volts of electricity through its body. The lizard was twisted into all kinds of shapes and dropped to the ground apparently dead. Mr Cashmore put the reptile into his motor ear, and several minutes later saw it move. Within about 30 minutes it had apparently quite recovered.
