PROGRAMME OPENED. CUP TO TWINE. FOXTON, Jan. 21. For the first day of the Foxton Racing Club’s meeting excellent weather prevails. There is a good attendance. The track is dry and fast. Results: POROUTAWHAO HACK HURDLES. Of 150 sovs.; 1 mile 5 furlongs. 3 Ivilburn 1 1 San Pedro 2 6 Polyphemu:s 3 Scratched: Marchou. Won by a neck with two lengths between seco.nd and third. Time, 3.0 4-5. NOVICE STAKES. Of 100 sovs. Six furlongs. 1 Discourse 1 5 Dreamy 2 2 Shining Star 3 Scratched: Braeburrv, Cloync, Golden Shadow, Waifille. Won by one and a half lengths, with three lengths between second and third. Time, 1.15 FOXTON CUP. Of 300 sovs. lj miles. 7 Twin It 1 4 Kilmiss 2 6 Ard finnan 3 Scratched: Our Jack. Henna took the lead, but Bent went to the front going found the back and Gaze moved up at the home turn, but Twink came away to win from Kilmiss by a neck with Ardfinnan a length further back. Time, 2.S 2-5. HFMATANGT HACK Of 120 sovs. Six furlongs. 2 Lin Arlington 1 7 Maui 2 9 Hine Hohoro . 3 Scratched: White Ringlet. Won by a length, third horse three quarters of a length away. Time, 1.15 1-5.
