POOR LAW VETO.

REVISION SUGGESTED. BRITISH FRANCHISE BILL. TV CABLE- PRESS A3SOOIATION--COPIRIGHT. LONDON, Jan. 20. There is a possibility that the Government may take advantage of the drafting of the new Franchise Bill conferring votes on women of 21 yeans of age to revive the former provision under which persons in receipt of poor law relief were not allowed to vote. It is urged that the Bill will thus be rendered more agreeable to those Government supporters who are not enthusiastic. about the extension of the franchise.
