CANADA’S ATTITUDE.

PACIFIC CABLE EXPENSES. FURTHER OUTLAY OPPOSED BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received noon to-day. OTTAWA, Jan. 17. Mr L. J. Garboury, Deputy-Post-master-General, and Mr C. P. Edwards, director of radio, at the Cable Conference in London, will stress that Canada’s attitude has not altered since 1926, the beam wireless cut in the revenue from the Pacific cable wiping out 11,000,000 dollars of the accumulated profit and the board being faced with recurring deficits. Canada will oppose further expenditure till wireless possibilities are fully investigated.
