After every legal effort, almost to 1 lie last hour, had failed to secure a stay of the proceedings. Ruth Snyder and Henry Judd Gray were electrocuted in Sing Sing prison for the murder of the woman’s husband. Mrs. Snyder is the first woman to suffer capital punishment in New York State for 19 years, and is only the third since electrocution was instituted.
