ELECTRIC SIGNS.

MODIFICATION IN PARIS. BY Ca HUE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT. Received 9.55 a.m. to-day. PARIS, Jan. 3. The Prefect of the Seine has ordered the elimination of many of the largest electric signs in the centre of the city, owing to the fear that the boulevards and Place de la Concorde were becoming like Broadway or Piccadilly Circus. The signs will be limited to goods sold in the buildings to which they are attached. This- means that scores of signs- which are a- feature of Paris nights will disappear, including the electric newspaper printed in English.
