At the meeting of the Board of Control for international, cricket, attention was given to correspondence from the Maryiebane ducket, Olub and the New Zealand Cricket Council regarding the proposal that the English teams should play two ma/tones in New Zealand at the end of 1928-29. The tour board, decided that it could not consider any suggestions that would involve a curtailment of the Australian programme. No provision ns made for a visit to New Zealand in the itinerary, which shows that the team will commence the tour with a match '.against West Australia colts at Perth on October 13. The team will visit all States and conclude the tour at Perth on March 28. The hoard adhered to. the decision to play a test at Brisbane, taking one away Horn Sydney, despite the strong protest of New booth Wholes. In the test matches six had overs will be reverted to, hut in the other matches cue- overs will consist of eight bails.

The hoard decided that the New Zealand tour would commence immediate**, aiter the match between Victoria and mueensliand, which is timed ho end not later than February 8. Mr V. Richardson was selected captain of the team to tour New Zealand.

Tasmania, at Launceston. .Jan. 17-19, v. Tasmania, at Hobart. Jan. 25-29, v. South Australia, at Adelaide. Feb. 1-7—Fourth Test at Adelaide. Feb. 15-19, v. Now South Wales, at Sydney. March 1-5, v. Victoria, at Melbourne. March 8-14—Fifth Test at Melbourne. March 21-23, v. combined team selected from West Australia, South Australia and Victoria. The board adopted the rule preventing players and managers of representative Australian teams writing for the Press.

THE AUCKLAND TEAM. IN NEW PLYMOUTH. The team organised by Mr E. C. Beale will play a strong Taranaki te*in in New Plymouth to-morrow and on Monday. With the local team will be Cheevers, of Hawera, who did so wel in the match this week. holiday' matches. Tn the Christmas holidays Rangitikei were easily beaten by Wanganui, and drew with, a Victoria College ’Varsitv team. The touring Christ’s Colege Old Boys’ team drew with a strong Wanganui team, scoring 252 to Wanganui’s 235 and 142 for nine wickets. Wanganui will- play the ’Varsity team to-morrow.
