Arrangements for the forthcoming race meeting at Stratford are now completed with every indication for a most successful gathering. An additional area of land has been secured to provide extra car parking accommodation and this is expected to be taxed to the utmost. Cans from all parts of Taranaki, north of Stratford, leave the Main Rload at tile showgrounds and enter the racecourse via Flint Road and Tybalt Street, proceeding to the parking area.; cars from south of Stratford proceed through Broadway to Pembroke Road, entering the racecourse by the club’s private road and proceed to the same parking area. All taxi traffic will be confined to the Cordelia Street entrance; entirely separating it from private cars. Precautions are being taken prohibiting cars from parking on any of tihe streets in the vicinity of the racecourse. The Sergeant of Police, with the assistance of the borough traffic inspector, have made complete arrangements for handling the large crowd which, is expected to attend the meeting. 'The Railway Department will provide men to be stationed at the railway crossings.
