ALTERATIONS IN RIDING BOUNDARIES.

A special order made by the Hawera County CounciL altering boundaries appears in the latest Gazette. The order, published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920, i® to take effect from March 31, 1928. . „ x The alterations are a® follows: 1. That the portion of the present, division boundary- between the Hawera and 1 Ararata Ridings of the county of Hawera, described as commencing from the north-eastern boundary of the_ Norma rib v town district along the railway line to the southern boundary of the Eltham County, be revoked. 2. That the division boundary between the Hawera and Ararata Ridings shall commence from the southern boundary of the Eltham County at the junction of the Onewhaia and Boylan Roads, then along the middle of the Boylan Road in a. southerly direction to the junction of the Austin and Boylan Roads; thence down the middle of the Austin Road in a south-easterly direction to its junction with Ketemarae Road (via the deviation known as “Brett’s corner”); thence along the middle of Ketemarae Road in a southwesterly direction to its junction with the Normanby town district; thence along the north-eastern and southeastern boundary of that town district; thence along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundary- of that town district; thence along the WellingtonNew Plymouth railway line in a southerly direction to its junction with the Hawera borough at Glover Road.
