There was a sterling finish, to the North Island rifle championship match to-day. It was won by O. A. Whiteman (Upper Hutt Club), who finished two points ahead of W. H. West (Ren-v-iok) and T. ManreUfc (New Plymouth). The shoot oft loir second money saw West take .priority. Shooting conditions were not the best, a tricky fishtail wind beating the most, experienced shots. The light' was changeable, a fierce glare at times making vision bad. The final results of the ckampionsliip are (the scores an the final match being given before the. total score): £IO.—CL A.
