HAAVEEA CLUB COAIPETITIONS. The following games were played on the Hawera green yesterday:— Champion pairs—Hobbs and Foy 29 v. Herbert and Alaslin 20; Keys -and Oliver 28 v. Champion and. Corkill 16; Hobbs and Foy 28 v. Foden and R. T-ait 13; Renwick and Al. Squire 22 v. Wills and Robertson 17; Herbert and Alaslin 21 v. Saunders- and Tidswell 11. Champion singles—Al. Squire 15 v. Robertson 11; Oliver 20 v, Keys 19; Alaslin 23 v. Oliver 21.
Handicap singles—Renwick 24 v. J T-ait 14.
AUSTRALASIAN SINGLES. SUCCESSFUL NEW ZEALANDERS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYEIGHT. MELBOURNE, Dec. 27. In tli o Australasian singles bowling competition there were 1.-170 competitors. Three rounds have been played and 256 are still eligible. The following New Zealanders competed successfully in the first three rounds: iC. Piper and E. Thomas. In the consolation singles -G. 'Clark (New Zealand) won the first two rounds. Air. W. Lyon has been appointed manager of the Victorian bowling team that is visiting New Zealand in February. _____
