CREW’S UNSUCCESSFUL FIGHT WITH FLAMES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION - COPYRIGIIT Received noon to-day. HONOLULU, Dec. 22. The Niagara landed fourteen of the crew of the ship Doris Crane, which was burned at sea with a- cargo copra while en route from Fanning Island to San Francisco. The crew fought the flames for a day and then, took to, the boats. The Niagara, sighted the burning vessel and hastened to, help and after a search picked up the boats.— “Sydney Sun” cable.
