AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENTS.
ESTIMATED AMERICAN DEATH RATE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK, Dec. 21. The Travellers’ Insurance* Company predicts that there will be 23,000 deaths and 80,000 injuries next year due to automobile accidents. The estimate, whic-li is based on the records of the last two years, does not allow for the customary yearly increase. The 1925 and 1926 records show that someone was either killed or injured in every 14 .seconds,- and there was one death for each 1000 cars. At this rate 400,000 will be killed m automobile accidents in the coming 20 years;
