WEDDING.

IHtAEER—REED. A wedding in which ruucli interest was taken was celebrated on November 10, when Mabel Grace, second daughter of Mr, and Mrs. J.. M. Reid, was married at the Methodist Church co James Alfred, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. h'raser, of Hawera. The ceremony was performed by the Itev. \V. J. Ox brow. The bride was given away by her father, and the bridegroom was attended by Mr. Dave h'raser as best man, and Mr. Ciive Harrison as groomsman. The bricie chose for her frock ivory georgette trimmed with silver lace and tiny posies of pearls. An excellently embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a circlet of organge blossom, and the bride’s toilet was daintily complemented with a shower bouquet carried out in white and pastel shades and maiden-hair fern. The two bridesmaids were the Misses L. and 1. Reid. The first maid wore a pretty little frock of eau-de-nil crepe de chine, trimmed with silver lace and small posies to tone. Miss Irene" Reid also wore a pretty frock of sunset pink crepe de chine trimmed with satin ribbon and posies; both maids wore fan-shaped tulle head dresses to tone with their frocks, and also bouquets to match. Mock orange blossom and pink daisies decorated the church, and at the altar a charming floral arch was arranged, and from it a wedding bell was suspended. The church was decorated by friends of the bride. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Islington tea looms, at which a large number of friends were received by Mrs. Reid, who wore an attractive frock of mulberry morocaine, with a hat of harmonising tone. Mrs. Fraser, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of black georgette and lace and a pretty shell pink crinoline hat. The bride’s travelling frock was of champagne crepe mitho, with a coat of cliarmaline to match. She wore a pretty crinoline hat, with champagne find pink trimmings, and a Mongolian fox fur, the gift of the bridegroom. The happj couple left by car for Auckland, where the honeymoon was spent.
