FRASER ROAD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) schoolTpicnic. .The school picnic passed off much better than the weather gave promise. After a stormy morning it was good to see everybody turn up at the school instead of picnicking at Air. Thompson’s bush as usual. They were well rewarded, too—the adults by following the children in their games, sports, singing and prize-giving; and th© children by their active participation of all the good things prepared for them. Immediately following the lunch, the various races for young and old were run off in the sheltered pony paddock, and games were indulged in, too, until it was time to adjourn into the school for the prize-giving But first of all the Fraser Road school choir contributed live items, a carol, a song, a part song, “On the Banks of Allan Ylater,”- and two three-part pieces, including “The Angelus” chorus ■Tom Wallace’s “Alaritana.”

Gladys Taylor,. a.. book to every scholar who cotikl read, and a toy to each of the 40 infants on the Road, were given by Air. A. L. Campbell. He was acting chairman in place of Air.
