On Monday evening the local hall, being decorated for Santa Claus, presented a gay scene. The building was soon packed to the doors, and the Rev. Mr Oxhrow opened the function by presenting prizes to Sunday school pupils. Then children's songs and recitations from Miss Liehtwark pleasantly entertained until Santa Claus arrived. After ho had distributed the gifts, Santa Claus spent a lively time singing and playing games with the youngsters. Finally a delightful supper was served.
