DEATH OF LEADER. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 10.45 a.m. to-dav. NEW YORK, Dec. 19. A message from St. Joseph (Michigan) says: “King Ben,” Gurnell leader of the House of David cult died on December 16 from tuberculosis. No announcement of his death was made previously due to the belief of the loyal members of the cult that Purnell would rise from death to-day.
