STRATFORD RACING CLUB.

TIIE SUMMER MEETING. Arrangements in connection with the forthcoming race meeting are well advanced. A well attended meeting of stewards was held last week. The chairman submitted. a report dealing with the position of the ladies 10/. to'te windows on the lawn. These will now be situated on the north east side of the totalisator house;/ It was resolved that final arrangements in connection with this matter be left in the hands of the chairman. In anticipation of increased motor traffic provision has been made for extras accommodation additional to the club’s extensive motor paddock. It was .resolved that a special section of the motor enclosure be reserved for motor cycles. Messrs. 11. E. Abraham, D. J. Ala - lone, A. Stewart, H. M. Good, and R. F. Malfroy were appointed as the judicial committee. A handsome Gold Cup to the value of £SO will be presented to the winning owner of the -Stratford Cup Handicap. The presentation will be made by the president’s wife, Airs. S. Pitt from the bird c-age. In the event of inclement weather on either day the stewards will meet at 9 a.m. at the secretary’s office, Broadway, to consider arrangements. A meeting of the general committee was held at the conclusion of the stewards’ meeting.
