Two hundred o. the inmates were rescued, and the damage is estimated at a qua.rter of a million dollars. As lat the Hospice St. Charles, which was destroyed on Wednesday, there has been ia heavy loss of life. The known loss is 36 lives. The school was conducted by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd.
