HAWKE CUP TEAM. WANGANUI REPRESENTATIVES. The 'Wanganui Cricket Association advise that the following 11 players will represent them in the first challenge match for the Hawke Clip, to be played against Taranaki at New Plymouth, commencing next Saturday afternoon: E. H. Bernau, W. I. Bunny, S. J. Harris. C. A. Holland, L. Kerr,' G. Orr (captain), E. Thakalxm, C. F. Treadwell, Dr. W. G. Williams, H. Williams, L. A. Wood. Mr. K. Cave will accompany the team as manager, and Mr. V. A. Stapleton as umpire. Of the umpires nominated by the Taranaki Association, Wanganui have chosen Mr. C. 0. Berg, of New Plymouth. NEW PLYMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL v. NELSON. By this morning’is mail the cricket team of the- New Plymouth High School travelled en route to Nelson, where they will play th|3 annual match on Saturday. Mr Bottrill and Mr Bryant, of 'tile school staff, are noth the team. AUCKLAND TEAM’S VISIT. The touring team selected by Mir E. C. Beale, of Auckland, will be in Taranaki duirng Christmas week, playing matches against Taranaki at New Plymouth, and Hawera. J. Langridge, the professional, will be with them, and will play in both matches. TEAMS FOR SATURDAY. Midland to play Okaiawa at Hawera: McCarthy, Treweek, Crombie, Jennings, Little, Giblin, Seager, Colman, Rae, Busing, Nielsen. Excelsior team to play Old Boys: Malone, Johns, Pye, Machin.
